CMYK

Last year I developed CMYK printing skills at studios in Liverpool and Salford.
I worked with a photograph I took at a Voidz gig and created 4 different layers to print in Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black. These are the four basic colours used to blend and make an image. It took while to get used to creating the digital negatives but this is certainly a rewarding process

Book Making

This is the bones of the first hardback book I made this time last year. Since then I've made books in a similar way but chosen to keep the spine exposed as I love the stitching and the uniqueness to the overall look.
First photos are the process of making a hardback book and the second is my perfectly imperfect take on a handmade book.... this has probably been spotted in meetings ðŸ™ƒ

The Burnley One Pound Note

In October 2018 I was awarded a grant from Arts Council England to 'Develop Your Creative Practice' for 12 months. This was mainly focused on developing screenprinting skills.
One collection I worked on was the Burnley One Pound note as seen here. I produced large one off mixed media notes along with limited edition prints and book covers for hand made books that I learned to make during this time. The One Pound Note will also feature in a zine entirely screenprinted!
